ELECTRONIC GAMING STRATEGIES ENHANCE STUDENT LEARNING

This fall, Texas College is piloting courses that will utilize gamification in e - learning. This allows learners to engage, participate, and learn in a fun and interesting environment to achieve learning objectives with substantial learner engagement. The courses will focus on creating niche blended learning experiences with e - learning, training methods, and gamification. The unique set of e - learning games are developed and inculcates a competitive edge by stimulating active participation in course work. Proven benefits of gamification courses are highly customized to suit a learner’s needs, give a personalized touch, increase knowledge and retention. Additionally, the courses are designed to make acclimation effective and powerful with micro - learning courses integrated with gamification for impactful learning. The four courses that have been introduced for the Fall 2022 semester are E - Sports Introduction, E - Sports Coaching, How to be an Active Listener, and E - Sports Critical Thinking. The courses will be accessed by students through a course portal managed by Aperion Global Institute (AGI). AGI is well known for their unique digital educational model of network affiliates that have a direct focus on “Erasing the Digital Divide in Education.” Their goals are accomplished by ensuring that the art of learning is accessible and integrated into a flexible and reliable cloud - based all - inclusive ‘technological multi - platform’ language e - learning system. AGI’s educational subject matter experts refer to the program as “Global Education Ambassador,” which has adopted a philosophy of commitment to driving transformation in education, self - improvement, communication, technology, and cooperation through a continuous learning mindset, delivering a first - class experience e - learning institute.
