X’ZAVIER BLOODSAW

OCTAVIUS PARKER X’Zavier Bloodsaw played quarterback for the Steers Football Team. As a freshman, Bloodsaw passed for 1,291 yards and 12 touchdowns. In his sophomore year. he passed for 1,581 yards and 14 touchdowns. As a junior, he passed for 1,762 yards and 14 touchdowns. His senior year proved to be his best, setting the school record by passing for 3,473 yards and 21 touchdowns. In total, X’Zavier Bloodsaw passed for 8,107 yards and 61 touchdowns throughout his tenure as quarterback for the Steers. His collegiate career mirrored that of his high school tenure, earning a multitude of awards and accolades, inclusive of 2006 Player of the Week vs. Belhaven College, 2006 Central States Football League (CSFL) Newcomer of the Year, four - time CSFL All Conference Player, 2009 Texas College Offensive Player of the Year, and 2009 Texas College Most Valuable Player. In 2010, Bloodsaw received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Texas College as an honors graduate (Magna Cum Laude) and his Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Lamar University in 2020. He currently serves as Assistant Principal at Teague Middle School in the Aldine Independent School District in Houston, Texas.

Octavius Parker played wide receiver for the Steers Football Team. As a sophomore at Texas College, Parker garnered 60 receptions for 838 yards. During his junior season, he had 93 catches for 1,469 yards. Parker’s senior year proved to be his best with 153 receptions for 2,307 yards. In total, Octavius Parker amassed 306 receptions for a total of 4,614 yards at Texas College. Parker is the All - Time Leading Receiver for Texas College and holds the single season receiving yards record with 1,469 yards, and the single game record with 11 receptions for 309 yards, as well as most all purpose yards in a season with 2,307 yards. His collegiate career earned a multitude of awards and accolades, inclusive of 2009 and 2010 First Team Central States Football League (CSFL) All - Conference Player, 2009 and 2010 National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Super 72 Best Offensive Players, 2010 AFCA - NAIA All - American Player, and 2010 Texas College Most Valuable Player. In 2010, Parker received his Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (Teacher Education) from Texas College. He currently serves as a teacher in the Gilmer Independent School District, as well as Offensive Coordinator for the Gilmer High School Buckeye Football Team in Gilmer, Texas.
