THE INSIDER - FALL 2024

ELEVATING ACADEMICS THROUGH ALPHA CHI Earlier this year, Texas College was accepted by the Alpha Chi National College Honor Society, one of the top national honor societies in the country. The College’s acceptance yielded the chartering of the Texas Beta Beta Chapter of Alpha Chi, Chapter 409 in Region II, Texas College’s chapter. To formally commemorate the chartering, the College hosted the Alpha Chi National College Honor Society, Texas Beta Beta Chapter Inaugural Induction Ceremony. The ceremony took place on Tuesday, October 29, in the Martin Hall Auditorium. With an array of symbolically colored candles positioned in ornate candelabra and the platform robed in academic regalia, the atmosphere undoubtedly exuded academic formality, excellence, significance, and symbolism. The aforementioned was amplified with the procession of candidates for induction, which entailed ritualistic lighting of candles, repeated membership affirmations, and signing of the Alpha Chi National College Honor Society Constitution. President Dwight J. Fennell also received honorary membership into Alpha Chi. PAGE 9| THE INSIDER
