On Friday, October 11, the Texas College Alumni Association (TCAA) hosted the annual Homecoming Program, which traditionally serves as a formal commemoration of Homecoming to welcome home alumni, family, and friends of the College, as well as to embrace students to foster an environment of Texas College unity and fellowship. The Homecoming Program featured the Golden Anniversary Homecoming Address, delivered by Mr. Harry Stewart, which emphasized the significance of the occasion and Texas College holistically. Additional remarks were notably made by President Dwight J. Fennell, in which he provided an update of the College and all of the exciting advancements taking place on campus, as well as discussion of the College’s new strategic plan, and the “Futures Campaign,” the College’s $10 million capital campaign. In addition to President Fennell, Trustee Athena Smith Jackson, Texas College Alumni Association President, also made comments, welcoming alumni to Homecoming 2024. Alumni and TCAA National Officers Ms. Q’Juan Dunlap Gray, Ms. Sandra Fails, and Col. (Ret.) Richard Kemp, Jr. congruently made a variety of presentations throughout the program. Mrs. Cynthia Jones Andrews, TCAA Fourth Vice President for Fundraising, facilitated the giving facet of the program, in which a multitude of Texas College Alumni publicly presented generous financial gifts to the College. Throughout the program, the Texas College Choir provided an array of perfected musical selections. HOMECOMING PROGRAM
