BACCALAUREATE SPEAKER Rev. Dr. Clarence K. Heath

Rev. Dr. Clarence Kelby Heath is the pastor of Carter Metropolitan Christian Methodist Episcopal Church of Fort Worth, Texas. Dr. Heath accepted his call to ministry at the Georgia Leadership School in June 1991. He has pastored since 1995 six congregations, and respectively served in the Sixth, Fifth, First, and Eighth Episcopal Districts. He has worked in varied capacities in multiple communities while also being responsible for developing Freedom Schools. Further, he served on ministerial boards that include the District and Annual Conference levels of the Christi a n Methodist Episcopal Church; the Joint Committee on Ministerial Examination, as well as having responsibilities for the Eight Episcopal District Leadership Training Institute, serving as Dean. Currently, he is President of The Phillips School of Theology Alumni Association. Rev. Dr. Heath earned the Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Augusta University; the Masters of Divinity degree and the Masters of Arts degree in Christian Education from The Phillips School of Theology at the Inter denominational Theological Center (ITC); and has completed postgraduate studies in Psychology at the University of Sarasota. He earned the Doctor of Theology degree at the Inter national Theological Seminary, and he is currently enrolled at Lancaster Theological Center, pursing the Doctor of Ministry degree. He graduated from the “Leadership Fort Worth,” Class of 2020. He enjoys spending time with his wife, sons, family, and serving with the members of the church and their families. He also enjoys traveling and writing, studying and reading books, as well as personal devotion, cooking, physical fitness, movies, and sports. Rev. Dr. Clarence Heath is married to his “college sweetheart” formerly Ms. Lakisha Young. They have two sons Cornelius and Caleb Heath.
